5. Friday Night Lights
Finally, a show that maintained its quality all the way through until the end. Friday Night Lights is based on a 2004 film of the same name, and the show was an experience for the fans who stuck with it throughout, and the quote Clear eyes, full hearts, cant lose, will echo forever in sports history. It will undoubtedly be used time and time again during a coach's inspirational speech to his players. The show was not afraid to pull at the heartstrings, and was anchored by great performances from Kyle Chandler and Taylor Kitsch.
This being said, watching this show in its entirety is an incredibly emotional experience. The acting has a way of making you feel every high and low the characters feel. Even though the show occasionally does descend into sports cliché here and there, it is still an outstanding show overall. If you can make it all the way through again, then power to you.
The show is simply too emotional and involving to experience more than once, unless you have a steady supply of tissues.
