12 AWFUL TV Shows Doctor Who Actors Want You To Forget

1. Dimensions In Time - All Involved

Look at them...so full of hope.

There couldn't be any other TV shows to top this list than this diabolical one off charity special that bizarrely served as a crossover between Eastenders and our iconic show. While the actors involved, including former Doctors Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison should all be given credit for appearing for a good cause, the show was too awful to enjoy on any level.

It's hard to imagine who on Earth this one off 'episode/show' was written for, with Whovians embarrassed by the shoehorning in of multiple Doctors, villains and companions amongst the Eastenders characters. As for fans of the iconic soapie, it's hard to know what they would have made of any of it, and undoubtedly would have been puzzled by the incredibly convoluted plot.

What makes Dimensions In Time so bad is that fans of the show were keen to see something decent after Doctor Who had been off screen for the preceding four years. On top of this, there looked to be a decent budget for 1993, yet the whole thing looked so damn cheap. Having Tom Baker speak into a microphone as if part of a radio play was bad enough, but scenes in which Davison's Doctor 'conjures' up other versions of himself is hilariously awful.

As can be seen with Steven Moffat's excellent Time Crash, it is possible to have a Doctor Who charity special that honours the show while also having a bit of fun, but this show just left a real sour taste.
