Some fans would argue that a Doctor isn't a Doctor until he's delivered an inspiring speech so for many his monologue in Flatline was the moment they'd all been waiting for. How many of you have reenacted it in front of the mirror? Oh, you're doing it right now? Sorry to interrupt. Considering he'd spent the most part of the episode stuck in a shrunken TARDIS he was always going to return with a vengeance and he didn't disappoint as he burst out of the blue box and banished the terrifying Boneless with his foreboding deceleration that "I am the Doctor!". And in that the moment, he really truly was. Not that he hadn't been throughout the previous eight episodes, of course, but you get the point. It was obviously all for Clara's benefit, anyway. She'd spent the entire episode pretending to be the titular Time Lord so this was his way of reminding her who's really in charge around here. Let that be a lesson to you, Clara. There's only one Doctor - well, there's 13 if you want to be pedantic - and you're looking right at him. Stomp stomp, he's arrived. Speaking of stomping...
