12 Best Justice League Episodes
3. Double Date
One of the most enjoyable and adult-oriented episodes of the series, Double Date sees two of the JLU's most compelling romances develop, one between the skeptical and sensible Green Arrow and the self-assured, skilful fighter Black Canary, and the other between the rebellious and jaded Huntress and the eccentric and paranoid yet highly intelligent Question.
In this episode, Huntress is kicked out of the League for using its resources to settle a personal vendetta, willing to murder powerful gang lord Mandragora (a large man who strongly resembles Marvel's Kingpin) who murdered her parents, and working towards that goal throughout the whole episode.
While League members Green Arrow and Black Canary are set to guard Mandragora against harm for the sake of his promised information, Huntress convinces The Question to help her find out where Mandragora is being kept.
An episode tackling godfather style mafia politics, the cycle of vengeance, and grey-morality from both Huntress and Question having to go up against Green Arrow and Canary's more unflinchingly heroic values, Double Date is one of the JLU's most memorable and enjoyable episodes, one that set up compelling and important future plot threads much earlier than anyone expected.
