2. Question Authority
An episode that ties up almost all the plot threads set up from the beginning of the Unlimited series- and even elements from the original Justice League run -Question Authority is the first of the four-part conclusion of Luthor's machinations and Cadmus's movements against the Justice League over the course of the season.
In this episode, the Question discovers footage from the Justice Lords universe, where Superman murdered President Luthor. Fearing that, with Luthor's looming presidency and Superman's proven virulent hatred against him, what happened in the Lords universe would happen in theirs, Question confronts Superman, and then Luthor, before being captured and tortured by Cadmus.
In searching for Question, Huntress, the two romantically involved since the Double Date episode, with help from Superman, breaks into a Cadmus facility to break Question out. Unfortunately, even with Superman's powers, it isn't smooth sailing - with Superman having to battle Captain Atom, who, despite being loyal to the JLU, was recruited as a stalwart military man to defend Cadmus.
This packs a season's worth of plot into one episode and makes it work. Literally everything that made Justice League one of the smartest shows on television showcased in this action-packed, revelation-packed, twenty-five minute run.
