3. The Reason Cartman Is So Racist, Xenophobic, Etc. Is Because He Refuses To Accept The Realities Of His Own Life
There may not be any one good reason as to why Cartman is the way he is, but a fan took a go at it and gave a great explanation: Cartman hates everything because he simply doesn't want to face the truth of his life. Just a heads up, it does get pretty depressing. Underneath all of Cartman's funny quotes and shenanigans is a lonely and self-conscious boy who simply wants to be liked and has built his life up around denial. His doting mother spoils him and makes him feel superior and as such, he is able to bully his way around his school. Except for Kyle. The gang all take shots at Cartman but Kyle is the one who constantly tells Cartman about his shortcomings, mainly that he's fat, sociopathic, selfish, and insufferable. Thing is, Cartman knows all of this to be true but accepting these facts would ruin his carefully built personality, so he lashes out at Kyle's Jewish heritage and red hair, hence the hate for Jews and gingers. But sadder still, Cartman can't break off his friendship with Kyle because he knows Kyle grounds him to his reality and is probably the only true friend he's ever had. Okay, it's over now. Whilst this does go on to explain why Cartman is the way he is, there is another simpler and far funnier reason why Cartman is so angry at everything in the world...
My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
