1. Kenny Is The Reason Why After 17 Years, The Characters Have Only Aged 2 Years
Kenny getting killed in a some weird and gruesome fashion every episode is South Park's most well-known and oft-quoted gag. But some fans think that the joke of having a kid die in every episode only to return the week may actually explain some aspects of the South Park universe. Despite the show satirising pop-culture and current day events for many years now, it has been estimated that only two years have passed by in the South Park world. After it was revealed that Kenny is cursed with the ability to never die in the episode 'Mysterion Rises', fans took this new piece of knowledge on board and proposed how Kenny's immortality ties into why South Park seems to be in relative stasis despite having lived through numerous Christmases and three Presidential administrations. Due to Kenny's curse, everyone in South Park is basically held in stasis and their memories of Kenny's death are forgotten whilst any memory of current world events are affected. As such, all the events that happened years ago are assumed to have only happened quite recently. Kenny's immortality does go a decent way in explaining how the gang and everyone in South Park still look exactly the same despite having nearly two decades of additional experience and knowledge. My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
