Doctor Who is responsible for introducing some of the most beloved characters in TV history. Whether they're Doctors, coveted companions or faithful friends, there's just something about the Time Lord and his ever growing list of amicable associates that makes you fall in love with them every time you see them. The fact they're always so loveable helps. They're designed to be loveable, of course, as they wouldn't be doing their jobs properly if they weren't entertaining and enthralling you in equal measure. They make you laugh, they make you cry and sometimes they leave and come back again so you can fall in love with them all over again. But sometimes they don't.
