12 Great Simpsons Episodes You'll Never Own (Thanks To Fox)
2. The D'oh-cial Network
If the image of Hans Moleman jabbing the dislike button on "SpringFace" - a Facebook parody - while flying through the air after being hit by a car doesn't make you chuckle, then get your pulse checked. The follow-up gag, in which an ambulance arrives, only to cart his tablet away to an emergency repair centre (presumably) was the perfect payoff.
The D'oh-cial Network in Season 23 proved that The Simpsons is more than capable of producing a modern day classic. Having gone back to telling morality tales in recent seasons, The D'oh-cial Network represents the show at its creative best, concocting an excellent parody of The Social Network in which Lisa creates the next big social media site (the aforementioned SpringFace), only to discover the fact that despite her thousands of online friends, she's just as lonely as ever.
While not a total indictment of social media, it accurately portrays the flaws of living one's life online a little too much and, in the end, the plot and message are just as entertaining as the more base humour, making this one of the best episodes in years. Which you'll never own. Dislike!!
