12 Great Simpsons Episodes You'll Never Own (Thanks To Fox)

10. Hardly Kirk-ing

Hardly Kirk-ing from Season 24 answers the question no one asked: what would happen if Milhouse was mistaken for a grown up? How would he fare in the adult world?

Despite the bizarre concept, the episode is actually executed quite flawlessly. As with, for example, Homer and Krusty, Milhouse and his dad Kirk are actually variations on the same design, and the show wisely plays off this, having Milhouse accidentally lose his hair. Now looking like his pop, a too-tight neck tie changes his voice into a clone of his fathers, and a pair of home made stilts add height.

Encouraged by Bart, the younger Van Houten ventures out into the adult world, bullying Homer, voting, and encountering the opposite sex. It turns out to be a pretty ripe concept, and the episode isn't hurt at all by the inclusion of a post-credits short, Maggie Simpson in the Longest Daycare, which was nominated for an Academy Award after being attached to the film Ice Age: Continental Drift in theatres.

Come to think of it, that's another Simpsons production that you'll likely never own.
