10. The Happiest Day Of Diane's Life

Throughout the series, Diane Nguyen was one of BoJack Horseman’s deepest, most troubled, and flawed characters. This went a long way towards what made her so loved as a character, as she often had a very different outlook on life to most.

She said previously that she didn’t know how to be happy. At least for a few years her relationship with Mr. Peanutbutter was a solid thing in her life, but even that ended in despair. She almost alluded to this just after they got married.

The run up to Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter’s wedding was full of stress to the point that they essentially just had a small ceremony there and then. It made Diane happy at least for one day, but only that one day.

She admitted that her wedding day was the happiest day of her life, and while most people would take that as a positive, Diane couldn’t help but think about what that meant for the days she had left. In theory, she had reached the height of her life’s happiness, so what about the decades she had left to live?
