This show is epic fantasy at its magical best. From prophesised heroes to beautiful enchantresses to an evil tyrant who everyone is desperate to see get his comeuppance, it includes every single ingredient from the fantasy cupboard.

The story is set in a mystical realm divided into three provinces. The ones with magic are D’Hara and the Midlands, and separated from the magical lands by a special boundary is Westland. It all begins with the evil ruler of D’Hara, the delightfully named Darken Rahl, launching an assault on the Midlands.

In a desperate bid to defeat him, Kahlan Amnell, a member of a special order known as the Confessors, flees to Westland in order to find the one destined to bring forth the end of this evil. The person in question happened to be an unsuspecting woodman named Richard Cypher, a.k.a the Seeker.

The two are joined by others as they wage a valiant war against the forces of evil, who for their part keep showing up in increasingly terrifying forms. If you were to go to a chalkboard and sketch out a fantasy series from scratch, chances are it would look something like the Legend of the Seeker.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
