No, they actually are! God dammit! Just look at the fact that Topman recorded a 90% increase in bow tie sales following the Eleventh Doctor's televisual debut, and you can't argue with statistics. Apparently, though, some people can. Still, it's difficult to contend with all the naysayers who laugh at your insistent claims that bow ties actually are a fashionable accessory after all (and that goes for fezzes, stetsons and multi-coloured scarves, too!), but the Eleventh Doctor had to put up with all the hate so at least Y.AN.A in that regard. Just do what he did, wear the bow tie without a care! Worked for him, right? Oh, and you can also take your bow tie off and let it fall to the floor in a dramatic, metaphorical sort of way, a la the Eleventh Doctor's regeneration scene, whenever you're feeling particularly peeved or offended. Always goes down well.
