4. People Don't Want To Talk About Doctor Who
At least, not 24/7, 7 days a week, anyway, which generally comes as bad news for the rest of us. Believe it or not but there actually are people out there who don't want to spend all of their time discussing the ongoing escapades of a certain Time Lord, and unfortunately they're in the majority, too. You're fighting a losing battle, then, with your continued failed attempts to bring it up during conversation at school or in the office. As such, prepare to get your query of "Did you watch Doctor Who on Saturday?" shut down quicker than you can say 'The Holy Jagrafess of the Mighty Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe' when it transpires that your colleagues were actually out socialising at the weekend (whatever that means!) and therefore missed the Doctor's latest act of heroism. Don't they realise the human race is safe because of him?! Some people are just so ignorant, but try not to let your emotions get the better of you because they're not doing it on purpose. Promise. Trust us, you might as well quit whilst you're ahead, however hard it may seem at the time. They just don't appreciate your Whovian ways, and it's not that they're selfish or small minded, they just haven't had their eyes opened to the magnificence that is Doctor Who yet, is all. Don't worry, though, because they'll realise the error of their ways eventually. One day soon, he's a-comin'... and then you'll be able to talk about Doctor Who with them all day long - hurrah! They'll probably be even more enthusiastic about it as you to start with, too, because that's always the way when you discover something new. In the meantime, of course, there's always Twitter, and message boards such as this. See, you're never really alone...
