12 Things You Didn't Know About Jon Hamm

3. He Was On American Show The Big Date, (And Got Rejected)

If you're familiar with the unique feeling that only comes when you realise you've made a horrible and unalterable mistake years after the fact, then spare a thought for the poor women who could have had 25-year-old Jon Hamm way back in 1996. Starring in the American dating show The Big Date - which basically involved a few terrible human beings loosely insinuating how they would get a total stranger into bed while a live studio audience whooped and shouted "yeeeeeeeeah bro!" - Hamm was positioned next to a stunt man and a banker and made to compete for the affections of a young lady. Sadly, despite using the word fabulous 4 times in the space of 20 seconds, Hamm was rejected by all the contestants and was gone before the first commercial break. Nobody knows that happened to Mary and Shonia, but chances are they aren't married to one of the most handsome men in showbizness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go7umPwXmJA
