Acting success stories are usually littered with rags-to-riches tales, but Jon Hamm's is probably one of the most impressive. Having lost both his parents at an early age and with virtually nothing to prop himself up with, he packed up all his worldly possessions (which was basically a car and $150) and set off across the country to stay with an uncle he didn't really know. After picking up a part time job he moved into a tiny apartment in Hollywood with four other aspiring actors, and has spend over 20 years clawing his way up the ladder ever since. He's now getting a quarter of a million per episode of Mad Men, and has a net worth of over $30, but none of that would have possible if it wasn't for the first few bucks in his pocket and his bravery in putting them to use.
