Episode: Season 9 - "Lisa's Sax" The story of "Lisa's Sax" begins with the destruction of Lisa's most prized possession, her saxophone. That in turn leads to the tale of how she got it in the first place: parent's too financially strapped to send their young daughter to a private school, who instead turn to a musical outlet to stimulate their gifted child. The whole thing is very touching, and it really hits home in the final act when Homer procures a new saxophone for his daughter, sacrificing his own wants in the process, and having a rather fitting message engraved on the instrument.
