12 TV Reboots You Didn't Know Were Coming
8. Rugrats
Rugrats is actually getting a couple of reboots, although if the reaction of the internet is anything to go by, one of those reboots is much more anticipated than the other. Side note; it's definitely important to listen to the internet's opinion to every single thing, right?
The two reboots could not be more different. One is a live action movie, and it's not the only cartoon being transformed into live action on this list. It doesn't sound great, or necessary, or like it'll be worth the work put into it.
Let's just sidestep that for now - it's a film anyway, and therefore doesn't really fit here - and focus on the second reboot.
That's a fairly straight reboot, announced by Nickelodeon in 2018 and expected to drop later this year. No weird live action, no uncanny valley CGI, just the typical Rugrats animation (probably with more HD) back in action once more. Nancy Cartwright has even been signed on again as Chuckie, so it'll be just like the good old days.
Rugrats is an absolutely legendary cartoon, and there's always the argument that you shouldn't mess with perfection. You certainly can't blame Nickelodeon for pulling out an old favourite though.
