12 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

Poor Helstrom felt like it was doomed to fail from the very beginning. The last surviving relic from the Marvel TV era, it was initially supposed to serve as the opener of its Adventure Into Fear franchise with Hulu but it wasn't meant to be for the other shows in that saga and, now, the same clearly goes for Helstrom.

A show that was initially supposed to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it adapted the story of the Hellstrom siblings from the comics, reinventing them as demon hunters for the dark and twisted supernatural fantasy. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to hook critics as it ended up on the wrong end of a lot of negative reviews.

With all the official MCU shows heading to Disney+, the writing was on the wall for Helstrom from the very beginning and yet many of us hoped it would make a case for its own existence past the first season. However, the subsequent revelation that it actually wasn't part of the MCU said all you needed to know about the-powers-that-be's faith in the project.

Sadly, it just wasn't meant to be.
