12 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

7. Filthy Rich

Black Lightning
Fox

The life of the rich and famous clearly didn't grab enough eyeballs for Fox as Filthy Rich will not continue past its first season.

With all the makings of a stylish, old school soap opera, the show starred Kim Cattrall as the widow of a wealthy businessman - and founder of the world's most-watched Christian TV network - as she had to come to terms with not just her husband's apparent death but the fact that he fathered three illegitimate children that were written into his will. From there, it's all threats, lawsuits and decadence for Margaret Monreaux.

Like Next, Filthy Rich was supposed to air earlier in the year but it was held back by Fox because it needed content to fill out its fall schedule. However, it was cancelled because it too was struggling in the ratings department. Though its premiere episode drew a higher audience than its sci-fi companion (with 3 million viewers), it didn't retain it as the subsequent episodes lost viewers at a pretty alarming rate.
