8. Fringe And Twin Peaks
The quirky - and often intense - Fringe was a fun and enjoyable Sci-Fi romp, that had plenty of charm and wit. Twin Peaks was a similarly fun series that focused on Dale Cooper's mission to find a missing girl in the strange titular town.
While the shows shared similar thematic ties and a lovely quirkiness, they were not a pair that seemed destined to link. However, there was an undeniably connected moment between the two, which even resulted in a character name-drop.
In an episode titled The Firefly, one of the leading characters of Fringe - Walter Bishop - whips out a pair of weird specs with a distinct red and blue colouring in the lenses, which bear a striking resemblance to those worn by Dr. Jacoby in Twin Peaks. It turns out that they are the same glasses, as Walter states how they were sent to him by a "Doctor Jacoby from Washington State", providing an evident connection between the shows.
