2. Living Biblically

A lousy adaptation of A. J. Jacobs' bestseller The Year of Living Biblically, this lame duck riff on the Yes Man concept sees Chip Curry (Jay R. Ferguson) deciding to live his life to the exact word of the Bible.

If you don't watch a whole lot of network TV comedy, the laugh track in this thing is sure to prove especially obnoxious, all the more so as there aren't any actual chuckles to be had here.

The potential for religious satire is obvious, but in the stead of offending nobody and appealing to as wide an audience as possible, Living Biblically plays things snooze-inducingly safe.

As such, CBS cancelled the show mid-season and burned the remaining episodes off over the summer.
