The Orville creator Seth MacFarlane has made no secret
of his Star Trek fandom, as evidenced in the many roles he has provided for
Star Trek actors both famous and forgotten throughout his many adult animated comedy
series (not to mention, you know, the entirety of The Orville owing its
existence to Gene Rodenberry’s franchise).
Whilst some of these roles have been choice comic characters in often great series, such as Patrick Stewart’s blackly comic career reinvention as Avery Bullock in American Dad, others are, well, Troi herself’s brief appearance as “Greek Prostitute” in the critically reviled Family Guy spin-off series The Cleveland Show.
Can’t all be gems, right Seth?
