Could it really have been anyone else? Ahsoka Tano is the breakout star of The Clone Wars and is already a pop culture icon. One of the strongest female leads in the canon, she is already set to appear in The Mandalorian and continue her epic journey. Her spirited arc from head-strong, naive Padawan to strong and capable Jedi is the show's biggest success.

Watching her grow with Anakin, who didn't want a Padawan in the first place, is bittersweet and heart-wrenching. You know what's coming, but watching Ahsoka interact with her master makes you wish that something will come along and reset the timeline.

When the inevitable does come, Ahsoka comes face to face with Order 66 and must the escape the carnage created - unknowingly - by her own former master.

Leaving the Jedi Order in Season 5 is an iconic moment on the show, and although her arc gives added layers to Anakin's descent into the Dark Side, she is much more than just a foil to the show's protagonist. She is strong, wise, funny and adaptable, and stands at the top of the rankings because of this. And I look forward to seeing where they take her next.
