7. Fives
Everyone's favourite ARC trooper, Fives is a driving moral force of the show who is always wanting to do well by his brothers and the Republic. His loyalty and virtues make him a great man to watch, and since fans get the chance to see him go from a young "shiny" to one of the most revered and experienced soldiers on the show, Fives also has one of the series' best arcs.
His leading role in two of the shows most emotionally devastating storylines - the Battle of Umbara and the uncovering of the inhibitor chips behind Order 66 - also make him one of the more tragic heroes we get to see. He's a unique vision in a show made up of clones, and he stands out because of his compassion and willingness to stand up for his brothers.
Which of course makes his unceremonious end all the more crushing.
Fans wish he could have made it out of the wars safely, and his role on the show is greatly missed in the following seasons. Also, the sadness of his death serves as welcome if troubling reminder that the Star Wars canon is actually quite bleak.
