This Jedi Master is one of the show's darkest and most controversial figures, and is the primary antagonist of the show's most gut-wrenching arc: Season 5's Battle of Umbara.

Krell is selfish and vile, with a total disregard for clones that was sometimes hard to watch. However, he remains a captivating character to watch all the same.

As the Battle rages, Krell begins to sink further and further into darkest, until his true allegiances are proved and the clones must take him down. It's riveting stuff and constantly exciting, and watching him go head to head with such fan favourites as Rex, Fives and Jesse is something altogether epic in itself.

On top of that, he's also one of the show's more intimidating villains, large and with the ability to wield two double ended lightsabers. Once his journey to the Dark Side reaches its conclusion, his fate is sealed and he dies believing the Republic will fall. The whole chapter is a great reminder of what is to come, and a nice set-up for Anakin's own fall.
