13 Best TV Moments Of 2016 (So Far)

11. Going To Earth-2 (The Flash)

The Flash's second season was a bit of a mixed bag, bogged down with setting up Legends of Tomorrow and having an increasingly uninteresting villain, but there was still a lot to enjoy there, especially with the more comic book-y moments. It gave us more Gorilla Grodd, then managed to top that with King Shark, but best of all was taking a trip to Earth-2.

From travelling through the Speed Cannon, which included visions of the likes of Supergirl and John Wesley Shipp's 90s Flash (both nods at things to come) it was almost nonstop fun, with the show making great use of the doppelgängers that the alternate universe allowed for: Deadshot was back, this time nicknamed for his terrible aim as a police officer; Barry Allen sported glasses and a bow-tie, and wasn't the Flash; Iris West had her father's job with the CCPD; Joe, meanwhile, was a crooner; and Cisco and Caitlin were villains, Reverb and Killer Frost.

Seeing characters interact with alternative versions of themselves made for a lot of fun, with Reverb and Killer Frost making for particular highlights, and it served to expand the scope of the show, build momentum, and provide some general wackiness as well.
