13 Characters That Should Appear In The Supernatural Spinoff

10. Becky Rosen

beckyLocation: Pikecreek, Delaware First Appearance: Season 5.1 "Sympathy for the Devil" Played by: Emily Perkins Supernatural is one of the few shows that has developed an extensive and interactive meta-relationship with its ardent fan-base, going as far as to build the world of conventions, fan-fiction and dark twisted obsessive tropes into its own universe where Sam and Dean can stare in awe or horror at the fealty and desire they inspire. When it comes to Supernatural, that wellspring of fan devotion can run quite dark and perverse, and character Becky Rosen, a self-expressed "Sam Girl," is a surrogate for that hyper-involved female fan-base; you know the kind, the ones that constantly disparage Ackles and Padalecki's real-life wives as selfish cows while espousing how well they'd treat the boys if they were theirs. It's crazy stuff, but actress Emily Perkins puts a surprisingly human and sympathetic spin on it, as Becky is just someone ultimately looking for that little bit of extraordinary in the world, whether it be in a man or in the otherwise dull reality that surrounds her day to day. The show never lets her off easy though, as she's one of the proponents of that sordid Supernatural fan tradition of Wincest ("They do know they are brothers, right?) and also tried to claim Sam as her own via magic in "Season 7, Time for a Wedding". Here's the thing; Perkins is a fine actress and she nailed this character from the get-go, making Becky entertaining and likable while suggesting there's more than a little creepy behind that gawky groupie expression of gob-smacked adoration. Having her move on completely from Supernatural and the boys, and forcing her to join a functioning community that meets outside of internet chat-rooms would be the best possible message for all those gals on the other side of the TV screen whom she represents. Also, if Chuck Shurley's origins are ever exposed, Becky might turn out to be the only character who can claim she's dated God, and that's gotta count for something in the fight against evil.
