6. The Time Lords Return (The End Of Time)

The Tenth Doctor was always going to go out on a high but nobody could've predicted what lied ahead in his final adventure, The End of Time, back in 2009/10. Not only did he once again find himself being pitted against the maniacal Master - who returned bigger, stronger and blonder than his latest appearance in Series 3 - but he also had to contend with a troop of tyrannical Time Lords led by their founder, Lord President Rassilon, as portrayed by former Bond Timothy Dalton. And it was about time, too. Talk of the Doctor's home planet and race had dominated the series since its return so an actual on screen appearance was long overdue. They more than lived up to their name and for the Tenth Doctor it was yet another problem to add to his ever growing list of 'Things To Sort Out Before You Regenerate'. There was no other way he could've gone out, though, and a final showdown with his fellow Time Lord brethren made it a swansong to remember. Fans will surely never forget the momentous moment the elusive Narrator's true identity was revealed.
