13 Most Exciting TV Shows Coming In Summer 2016

4. BoJack Horseman

One of Netflix's best original series (although it's a rather crowded field these days), BoJack Horseman is also one of its weirdest on paper. Set in a world where humans and anthropomorphic animals co-exist, the animated sitcom focuses on its titular horse, the faded star of a 90s comedy attempting to stay relevant.

The show features a great voice cast, led by Will Arnett and including Aaron Paul and Alison Brie (as well as a huge number of fantastic guest stars), and while it is hilarious, more surprising is just how deftly and poignantly it deals with issues such as fame and depression.

The synopsis released by Netflix for Season 3 states it will find BoJack "grappling with his legacy while trudging through an increasingly turbulent Oscar campaign for his star-making turn in the Secretariat biopic..." and also "It’s a very funny and good season of television. Don’t worry.”

We'll take their word for it.

BoJack Horseman will be available on Netflix from July 22.
