13 Most Memorable Doctor Who Guest Stars

4. Kylie Minogue in €˜Voyage of the Damned€™

Astrid Peth is really the €˜Oswin Oswald€™ of the Tennant years. She was a really cool character played by a really notable guest star that ended up cruelly killed off after one episode and making us truly appreciate the fact that not everybody gets to see the stars. Though the character is sweet enough and cute enough we really only remember her for being Kylie Minogue, and plus, we knew she was going to die. There was no way the show could get Kylie Minogue as a regular, epic though that would be, not to mention that Catherine Tate was already being advertised as the new Who-girl. I suppose you could say that there was always the chance that she would survive and the Doctor would simply refuse to take her as in the case of Lady Christina de Souza (who would have been an awesome companion you stupid, stupid writers!!) but Doc was willing from the word go to have her on board, so yeah. She was dead the minute she appeared on screen. Now you€™re probably wondering why I€™ve put her on the list since I€™ve bashed her so much and you have to admit even River Song has a better chance of getting out alive. Well€ she€™s Kylie Minogue. She€™s a brilliant actress, she€™s beautiful to look at, she€™s as sweet as a honeybee and she€™s Kylie freaking Minogue. I think just watching this ep with the family for the first time is easy and fun and light-hearted because you can just smile along with Kylie and then make jokes about who to be more jealous of when Ten and Astrid randomly kiss. The fact that she has to stand on a box beforehand is downright adorable too.

I got bored one day, so I decided to write things on the Internet.
