13 Reasons Why Season 3 Trailer Reactions: 3 Ups & 3 Downs

Riverdale, but make it adult.

13 Reasons Why Season 3 Clay Justin Jessica

Of all of Netflix's original programming, it goes without saying that 13 Reasons Why is undoubtedly its most controversial.

Based on Jay Asher's 2007 YA book of the same name, the debut season focused on the aftermath of the suicide of character Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) - who left behind 13 tapes in a bid to let her friends and enemies understand the extent of what she was going through and ultimately solve the mystery behind her death.

While many of aspects of the show, including cast performances, were praised, its focus on the subject matter received a divisive response. In spite of that, and the fact that it adapted a single book, Netflix commissioned the show for a second season - one which focused on each character as they came to terms with Hannah's decision and as some of them ultimately attempted to get justice for her. However, Season 2 didn't go down well... at all.

In spite of that (you know what's coming, don't you?), Netflix renewed the show again, and here we are: about to delve into the trailer that revealed the season is actually a lot closer (August 23) than any of us initially expected it to be.
