13 Reasons Why Season 4: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
6. Tyler Down
Tyler Down really came into his own last season as he embarked on something of a journey towards redemption in the hopes that he could overcome the demons that Liberty High instilled in him. And he really did because, with the help of Clay, Tony, Jessica and Alex, he was finally able to let go of the fear and the anger over what Monty had done to him.
This season, Tyler remained in that good place, never wavering in the face of the obstacles that life was continuing to throw at him and his friends. In fact, while the rest of the gang struggled with their own issues, Tyler was the one who mostly kept it together, even when his freedom was threatened by the police's discovery of his guns.
A shining example of how important friendship can be in someone's life, Tyler held onto his newfound confidence - even when the school lockdown nearly took it from him - and he even managed to start a new relationship with Estela. Yes, that meant he wasn't quite as prominent a character this season, but after all he's been through, it was worth it just to see him happy.
