Like its predecessor, the final season of 13 Reasons Why struggles to justify its own existence (because, again, so many would have preferred it to end with Hannah's story in the first season), but it does make a solid attempt to try to bring closure to the overarching story.

As a season, it does struggle to get there, with so much of the storyline feeling like just another unexpected drama for the Liberty High regulars, but the back half of the season - and particularly the bumper-length final episode - delves into each of the characters and the vast majority of the show's unfinished threads so that it can wrap it up in a way that pays tribute to everything that made it what it is.

It's not the ending that we all envisioned back in Season 1, nor the equally-appropriate 'where do we go from here'conclusion of Season 3, but it's a good ending nonetheless - one that does its best to wrap everything up in a satisfying manner.
