1. Catherine E. Coulson
Catherine E. Coulson played one of the more memorable roles in the original series despite it being relatively small: the Log Lady. She was regarded as crazy by many of the town's residents, carrying a small log with her at all times which would apparently deliver psychic messages to her about upcoming events.
Sadly, Coulson died in September 2015...and yet her name is still included on the line-up for the new series, so Lynch presumably had time to film some new footage with her. Even Coulson's agent had no idea, saying, “It’s all a mystery...This is David Lynch. If there were ever a director that would surprise you, it would be him." Indeed.
Who Is She Playing?: No doubts about this one. Even if Coulson's illness perhaps prevents her from having a substantial part, we can look forward to a hopefully fitting cameo and a fond farewell to a series icon both hilarious and perplexing.
