15 Annoying Mistakes You Never Noticed In Doctor Who

13. The Possibly Virgin Queen

While on his farewell jaunt around the universe, the Doctor casually mentions to Ood Sigma that he €œGot married. That was mistake€ and offhandedly implies that Elizabeth I€™s nickname of the Virgin Queen no longer applies. An implication echoed by Elizabeth X, meaning that it's almost a certainty that the Doctor and Good Queen Bess did the nasty before he scarpered. But when we actually see the marriage in The Day Of The Doctor (2013); he leaves right after the ceremony, not having any time to relieve her of her title. Unless it happened earlier as part of his ruse to trick what he thinks is the Zygon imposter. Like the Eleventh Doctor said, €œwhatever you get up to in the privacy of your own Regeneration€. More to the point though is that thanks to the timelines being out of sync and the Eleventh Doctor being one of the witnesses at the ceremony, the Tenth Doctor shouldn't remember being married. Unless he left himself a reminder on a Post-It note or something. Which is always a good idea for a time traveller.
