Finn Wittrock's debut role as vile, spoilt brat and future mass murderer Dandy Mott in Freak Show made it clear he was an actor destined to stick around for more than one season.

Wittrock's searing, darkly comical and frequently petrifying antagonist was an absolute blast to watch, and the strongest aspect of Freak Show's otherwise lacklustre narrative. He was pathetic, selfish, psychopathic and cruel, and honestly it worked wonders.

In Hotel, Wittrock returned in a dual role - first as model Tristan Duffy, and then as Hollywood icon Rudolph Valentino - and played them both to perfection despite his limited screen time.

He had some criminally short-lived roles in both Roanoke and 1984, but given how great he's been in the past and that Ryan Murphy has confirmed his involvement in season ten, it won't be long until Wittrock comes back to the fold and sinks his teeth into another instantly iconic role.
