6. Lily Rabe
Believe it or not, but Lily Rabe has appeared in eight seasons of American Horror Story, only missing out on a role in Cult, tying her with Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters for most appearances on the show.
In Murder House, she turned up as Nora, the wife of murderous doctor Charles Montgomery (Matt Ross), for a short spell, and then appeared in Asylum as the brilliant and possessed nun Sister Mary Eunice. In Coven (and later Apocalypse), she played Misty Day, a witch and hippie with an intense love for Stevie Nicks.
She's played serial killers, witches, murder victims, the Devil and ghosts over the course of the show, and is nothing short of a scene stealer in every role.
Rabe has been confirmed for a lead role in season ten, promising some more greatness from one of the show's most recognisable mainstays.
