11. Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie
Many people claim that their significant other saved their life, but sometimes that can be way more literal than metaphorical.
Yuu Izumi is a boy who finds himself in constant need of rescue. A slew of bad luck and clumsiness leads to him constantly falling into dangerous accidents. Still, there's one saving grace in his beautiful, popular, caring girlfriend, Micchon Shikimori.
Unlike everyone else, Izumi gets to see a side to the cute Shikimori that no one else does, that being her cool/badass side, which she often uses to rescue him. He's content to spend his days pining over her and hoping his streak of misfortune finally ends.
While most anime romances cause bouts of frustration thanks to the time it takes for the couples to get anywhere, this show starts at a completely different point. Beginning with the relationship already underway is an amusing way to make the anime feel unique, despite the somewhat typical presentation and plot.
It's hardly a groundbreaking anime that will change your life, but you'll still have plenty of fun with this wacky/wholesome story.
