4. WandaVision

Made for Love
Marvel Studios

The first of the MCU's transition to the small screen on Disney+, WandaVision is a powerful, surreal and wondrously innovative miniseries that follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vison (Paul Bettany) as they find themselves trapped in a world that isn't quite what it seems.

An expert dissection of the complexities of grief and mourning - as well as a long-awaited showcase for Olsen to take centre stage in her own story - the series finds structure by having each new episode take the form of a beloved sitcom (I Love Lucy, Modern Family, and Bewitched among them).

This leads to some undeniably hilarious character interactions, as the series moves effortlessly between different decades in TV history. At its core, though, WandaVision is all about the titular pair, their tragically cut-short relationship and Wanda's ever-growing grief and powers.

WandaVision gripped countless MCU fans around the world, constantly making them think up increasingly bizarre theories about what was really going on, and whilst the finale wasn't quite as affecting as it maybe could have been, the vast majority of its run was simply divine.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
