6. Jiaying

When Jiaying was revealed to still be alive in the show's second season, it seemed as though she truly had everyone's best interests at heart. In contrast, SHIELD agent Robert Gonzales appeared to be setting everyone on a crash course towards conflict with the Inhumans.
Surprising everyone, Gonzales revealed in a meeting with Jiaying that he simply wanted peace, even using a necklace the Inhuman had thought lost as a symbol of his good intentions. Instead, Jiaying killed him with one of her manufactured Terrigen Crystals only to claim that he attacked her, intentionally sparking a war between the ill-informed parties on both sides of the SHIELD/Inhuman line.
Warped by her experiences with Daniel Whitehall and others, Jiaying planned to unleash her dangerous Crystals to destroy human life and leave only Inhumans standing, but Cal killed her before she could see it through. Despite her death and the dissolution of her plans, fish oil tablets unknowingly made from fish contaminated by several of her Crystals were released into the world at season's end, ensuring that big changes still loom on the horizon.
