Honor Blackman is a name that most people will recognise for her work outside the Whoniverse, such as her appearance in 1964's Goldfinger as Bond girl Pussy Galore.

But she also had a memorable albeit brief role in Doctor Who too, playing Professor Sarah Lasky in the 1986 Sixth Doctor serial Terror Of The Vervoids.

She then returned to Doctor Who a couple of decades later, voicing Queen Anahita in the Big Finish audio drama The Children Of Seth, a Fifth Doctor story.

Blackman passed away on 5 April, aged 94.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
