Helen McCrory had a small, yet memorable role in the Whoniverse.

She played the sinister Rosanna Calvierri - who is secretly a giant alien fish - in the Series 5 episode The Vampires Of Venice, facing off against Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor and sinking her fangs into his companion, Amy Pond.

Realizing that she has no hope of saving her species after the Doctor foils her plan, Rosanna ultimately commits suicide by feeding herself to her children.

Outside Doctor Who, McCrory is best known for playing Draco Malfoy's mother, Narcissa, in the Harry Potter movies. She also had a small role in the 2012 Bond flick Skyfall, where she played the politician presiding over M's trial.

She passed away on 16 April, at 52 years of age.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
