5. Liam Cunningham (Captain Zhukov/Davos Seaworth)
Not every Doctor Who character has the common sense needed to trust the Doctor, but that isn't true of Liam Cunningham's Captain Zhukov. Out of his depth against the Ice Warriors, he did come to trust the Time Lord to get them out of the situation despite his military bearing, and if the photographs at the end of The Crimson Horror are anything to go by, the two came out of the ordeal as friends. Cunningham also plays a nautical character on Game of Thrones. Ser Davos Seaworth, also known as the Onion Knight, is a former smuggler utterly loyal to Stannis Baratheon. He is one of Stannis' most trusted advisors, even becoming Stannis' Hand of the King. However, he mistrusts Melissandre, believing her to be leading Stannis down a wrongful path. He proves highly capable, convinicing the Iron Bank of Braavos to back Stannis, and always does what he feels is right - most recently convincing his liege lord to help the Night's Watch against the wildlings.
