Being a Doctor Who fan isn't easy, you know. Accompanying TV's favourite Time Lord on his ongoing extraterrestrial escapades is a psychical and mental rollercoaster to say the very least, and his legion of devoted devotees should be given credit for the strength of their emotional resilience. After all, it's not every show on telly that forces you to fall in love with its main character before sensationally killing him off and replacing him with somebody else.
