15. Father's Day (2005)
In one of Doctor Who's most poignant episodes to date, Rose Tyler travelled back in time to meet the father she never knew on the day of his tragic death. As if that wasn't emotional enough, she soon discovered that he wasn't the man she thought he'd been after all, but he was still there for her when it mattered the most. Saving the entire world and putting history back on track doesn't make up for all of the times he missed, but it comes pretty damn close. Someone pass us the tissues already!
