15 Greatest American Horror Story Characters
1. Cordelia Foxx
Of all the incredible, powerful, and down right bad ass characters in all of American Horror Story, none can match Cordelia Foxx. As the daughter of Fiona Goode, the witch was at an immediate disadvantage growing up, but still pushed through adversity, betrayal, and the seven wonders to become one of the most powerful characters in the show.
When we are first introduced to Cordelia in Coven she is not the Supreme, but since her mother is such a poor leader, she has to step up and take charge of the group more often than not anyway.
She is willing to make incredible sacrifices in order to maintain her gift, as evidenced by taking her own eyeballs out with garden sheers! Yet as she grows in power, and ultimately becomes the Supreme, she never loses sight of what is important, and still treats every member of her coven like a daughter. Even Madison.
By the time Apocalypse rolled around, the tender, loving Cordelia, while still that same person, is a force to be reckoned with. Leading her girls into battle against Michael Langdon, and standing up to the warlocks who insist on allowing the anti-Christ to take the seven wonders test, there is no one better suited to be Supreme.
Ultimately, her unselfishness and willingness to sacrifice herself for the good of the coven cement her legacy as the greatest character the show has ever produced.
