15 Greatest BoJack Horseman Episodes Of All Time
12. Escape From L.A (Season 2, Episode 11)
The penultimate episode of every BoJack season is often its best, and season two's Escape From L.A is no exception to this rule.
Running away from Hollywoo, BoJack takes one of his famed impulsive trips to see his old friend Charlotte. In New Mexico, he connects with Charlotte and her family, buys a boat, and starts living with them, unable to bring himself to return home and face his life.
Though on the surface things seem pretty good, BoJack of course spends the episode in denial about how broken he is and how he's always the same person regardless of where he is in the world. After making a move on Charlotte, he is banished from the house, and in one of his lowest moments almost hooks up with her daughter, Penny. This severs his relationship with Charlotte completely, and he travels home to face himself once more.
BoJack has done a lot of awful things, but his moment with Penny remains one he regrets the most. It's a low moment, hammering home the fact the show is a lot more than meets the eye.
