15 Important Life Lessons We Learned From South Park

6. Hollywood Is Evil, Yet Sacred

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfMkvnyLYU4&feature=kp Parker and Stone are masters of the Hollywood formula. Many of their latter day episodes take that cinematic flavour and do it better than most of the films you can find in the box office in a sixth of the time. It€™s clear - they cherish movies. But today€™s movies suck as their parodies point out. And there€™s nothing worse than trying to alter the magic of the past. Although Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have given us such beloved and influential films such as Jaws, E.T. and Star Wars, they are psychopaths in South Park. Both in Free Hat where they attempt to update Raiders of the Lost Ark and The China Problem where they rape Indy once again with the hideous fourth movie. If only they could leave the past in the past and not ruin what we had. It€™s not just Hollywood, but film festivals too. They€™re also demonized as Robert Redford€™s Sundance Festival takes over the town in Chef€™s Chocolate Salty Balls. The life lesson is to respect the art and forget the business.
