15 Most Anticipated Horror TV Shows Of 2025

5. The Terror Season 3

It Welcome to Derry Chris Chalk
FX

It may not quite get the same spotlight as some of the bigger-name horror shows, but when looking back at the best horror TV of the past ten years, The Terror has to be in the conversation. In terms of the quality of its two seasons to date, its production values, its performances, and, of course, its scares, The Terror is proper top-tier horror.

Now, more than five years since its last episode, The Terror is back for a third season.

This time out, the six-episode new season is subtitled Devil in Silver, being based on Victor LaValle's novel of the same name. Plot-wise, Dan Stevens plays Pepper, a working-class man who finds himself committed to a psychiatric hospital due to a mixture of his bad temper and some bad luck. And for fans of a certain vintage, adding to the appeal of The Terror's third season is the involvement of the great CCH Pounder.
